Flood Watch for the Tanami Desert, Sturt Creek District, East Kimberley, North Kimberley, West Kimberley and The Fitzroy River Catchment

FLOODING POSSIBLE IN THE TANAMI DESERT, STURT CREEK DISTRICT, EAST KIMBERLEY, NORTH KIMBERLEY, WEST KIMBERLEY AND THE FITZROY RIVER CATCHMENT FROM WEDNESDAY

Catchments likely to be affected include:

Fitzroy River   
West Kimberley Rivers   
North Kimberley Rivers   rainfall expected in the southern parts
East Kimberley Rivers   including the Ord Basin
Sturt Creek District   
Tanami Desert   rainfall expected in northern parts of the Desert

Flood Safety Advice:

Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.

Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.

Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads.
