Final Flood Watch for parts of the Mid North Coast, Central Coast and Hunter catchments

Issued at 1:43 PM EST on Monday 28 Apr 2025.

RAINFALL RISK HAS EASED, MINOR TO MODERATE FLOOD WARNINGS ARE CURRENT ACROSS SEVERAL COASTAL RIVERS

The complex low pressure system which brought heavy rainfall has moved away from the NSW coast.

Catchments in the Flood Watch area are relatively wet.

Further rainfall is forecast from middle of the week, which may cause small river level rises.

Flooding is no longer expected in the following catchments:

Goulburn and Upper Hunter Rivers   
Wollombi Brook and Lower Hunter River   

Flood warnings are current for the following catchments: Orara, Hastings, Tuggerah Lake, Williams, Camden Haven, Cooks, Paroo, Warrego, Barwon and Darling.

Flood Safety Advice:

This Flood Watch means that people living or working along rivers and streams must monitor the latest weather forecasts and warnings and be ready to move to higher ground should flooding develop.

Flood Warnings will be issued if Minor Flood Level is expected to be exceeded at key sites along the main rivers for which the Bureau of Meteorology provides a flood warning service.

Severe Weather Warnings will be issued or updated if very heavy rain is forecast or observed.
